Maryland University of Integrative Health recognizes the accomplishments of its students and faculty through a series of awards, which will be announced at the University Celebration Award on May 18.

Student Community Award

This annual award honors graduating students who have provided extraordinary service to his or her class or to the University. Students are nominated for this award by faculty. It reflects service students have provided to the learning of other students or to the broader MUIH community, and their demonstrated leadership and commitment to furthering student life at MUIH. Nomination details to be announced shortly.



Student and Faculty Research Poster Award

This award recognizes excellence in research poster presentations at MUIH’s annual Research Symposium. These awards are announced at the Research Symposium in March and acknowledged again at the University Celebration.



Faculty Great Esteem Award

This award is given to faculty members in recognition of their outstanding commitment to students' excellence throughout their program of study. Faculty are nominated for this award by students. It reflects the important qualities and virtues of an instructor who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to learning, promoted professional growth and transformation, and demonstrated the values of the University to an extraordinary degree, among other criteria. Nomination details to be announced shortly.



Faculty Excellence in Innovation and Service Award

This award acknowledges a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in service to Maryland University of Integrative Health. The individual selected to receive this award exemplifies MUIH’s values with special distinction, and has shown innovation in their approach to meet a need within the MUIH or external community.



Faculty Excellence in Research and Scholarship Award

This award recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in research and/or scholarship. Through their research and scholarship, MUIH faculty and inform our curriculum and the teaching and learning process and advance the field of integrative health. Faculty research and scholarship are foundational elements of any University, and at MUIH they are also embodiments of our core values of community, mindfulness, integrity, inquisitiveness, and discernment. This awards is announced in conjunction with the Research Symposium in March and acknowledged again at the University Celebration.
